Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to the 1st Conference on Endoscopic and Robotic Cardiac Surgery, organized by the Clinic of Endoscopic Cardiac Surgery and Aorta of the Athens Medical Center, which will be held at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center – Book Castle, on November 8, 2025.

In early 2008, I performed the first endoscopic cardiac procedure in Greece, driven by the vision to establish and disseminate this technique.

The French author Victor Hugo once wrote, "No force on Earth can stop an idea whose time has come." And indeed, 17 years later, thanks to the contribution of fellow endoscopic cardiac surgeons, this vision has become a reality. Endoscopic cardiac surgery is now firmly integrated into the daily practice of cardiac surgery.

The purpose of this initiative is to bring together colleagues who are already involved in endoscopic surgery, as well as to inspire others to take the leap. We will present our results, exchange experiences, and discuss the challenges we face—for the benefit of our patients.

We look forward to welcoming you, confident that your presence and active participation will be the key to the success of our first conference.
