Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to the 1st International Congress of Cardiac
Surgery, “Step into the Future of Cardiac Surgery,” which will take place at the Athens Marriott Hotel, on March 13–14, 2026.
The Congress aims to highlight innovations and to stimulate open discussion on emerging fields of knowledge that may shape a promising future for our specialty.
Cardiac surgery, as one of the youngest specialties in the history of medicine, has pioneered the radical treatment of cardiac diseases that were considered incurable until only a few decades ago. Building on the depth and rich legacy of this body of knowledge, the cardiac surgery of the future can—and must—play a pivotal role, in close collaboration with related specialties, in the safer and more effective treatment of patients with heart disease.
We hope that this Congress will offer participants the opportunity, through the presence of experts in each specialized field addressed, to enrich their knowledge and experience, fostering the momentum toward this new era.
At the core of the program lies the pioneering cardiac surgery of Onassis Hospital, minimally invasive techniques, endoscopic valve repair, and arrhythmia surgery, which—together with advances in diagnostic technology, imaging, and interventional procedures—are redefining a new era in therapeutic options for structural heart disease.
Innovations across the full spectrum of cardiac surgical subspecialties will be discussed in an interactive manner, and a hands-on training workshop using
simulators will also be included.
